چکیده

Aesculetin is an active member of coumarins that has been reported to possess significant medicinal and biological importance. It also shown with potential anticancer activity against different human cancers including breast, lung hepatocellular carcinoma. Therefore, the current investigation was undertaken examine effects aesculetin gastric cancer. MTT assay performed check cellular viability clonogenic executed assess effect on colony formation capacity SGC-7901 cancer cells. Apoptosis analysed by AO/EB staining annexin V-FITC/PI assays. Cell cycle phases were monitored using flowcytometry western blotting used detect PI3K/AKT/M-TOR signalling pathway. Results indicated not only reduced proliferation in time-dependent manner but dose-dependent as well. Clonogenic tendency cells retarded significantly aesculetin. The antiproliferative may arbitrate via apoptosis. Further, flow cytometric analysis revealed G2/M-phase amplified number increasing doses. Indicating blocking cell at G2/M-phase. Finally, suggested pathway Taking altogether, could induce growth inhibitory Moreover, apoptotic death, arrest block

Antitumor and Apoptotic Effects of Cucurbitacin a in A-549 Lung Carcinoma Cells Is Mediated via G2/m Cell Cycle Arrest and M-tor/pi3k/akt Signalling Pathway

BACKGROUND The main aim of this study was to demonstrate the antitumor potential of cucurbitacin A on A-549 NSCLC (non-small cell lung cancer cells). The effects of Cucurbitacin A on apoptotic induction, cell physic, cell cycle failure and m-TOR/PI3K/Akt signalling pathway were also investigated in the present study. MATERIALS AND METHODS MTT assay and clonogenic assay were carried out to stu...

Rhein Induces Cell Death in HepaRG Cells through Cell Cycle Arrest and Apoptotic Pathway.

Rhein, a naturally occurring active anthraquinone found abundantly in various medicinal and nutritional herbs, possesses a wide spectrum of pharmacological effects. Furthermore, previous studies have reported that rhein could induce hepatotoxicity in rats. However, its cytotoxicity and potential molecular mechanisms remain unclear. Therefore, the present study aimed to investigate the cytotoxic...

Simvastatin induces cell cycle arrest and inhibits proliferation of bladder cancer cells via PPARγ signalling pathway

Simvastatin is currently one of the most common drugs for old patients with hyperlipidemia, hypercholesterolemia and atherosclerotic diseases by reducing cholesterol level and anti-lipid properties. Importantly, simvastatin has also been reported to have anti-tumor effect, but the underlying mechanism is largely unknown. We collected several human bladder samples and performed microarray. Data ...

Silibinin Inhibits Causes Cell Cycle Arrest in Human Gastric Cancer MGC803 Cells Via STAT3 Pathway Inhibition

Gastric cancer (GC) is one of the highest cancermortality diseases with a high incidence rate (Chen et al., 2013), and is the second most common cause of death from cancer in Asia (Leung et al., 2008). Surgery is the cornerstone of the management of patients with resectable GC (Van et al., 2008). For patients with advanced stage GC which are not completely resected, the palliative chemotherapy ...

Quercetin induces cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in CD133+ cancer stem cells of human colorectal HT29 cancer cell line and enhances anticancer effects of doxorubicin

Objective(s):The colorectal cancer stem cells (CSCs) with the CD133+ phenotype are a rare fraction of cancer cells with the ability of self-renewal, unlimited proliferation and resistance to treatment. Quercetin has anticancer effects with the advantage of exhibiting low side effects. Therefore, we evaluated the anticancer effects of quercetin and doxorubicin (Dox) in HT29 cancer cells and its ...
